Perestroika: Perestroika was a political movement for reformation within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union during the 1980s, widely associated with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and his glasnost or policy reform.
Glasnost:Soviet Union policy for open discussion concerning political and social issues. Fundamental changes to political aspects changed where power of the Communist party reduced and multi-candidate elections took place. Also, glasnost permitted criticism of government officials.
